Kallol Chemicals Limited - Detergent Powder

In 2006, Kallol acquired Kohinoor Detergent factory established in 1968 with fully equipped machinery imported from Ballestra S.P.A., Italy along with the iconic Jet brand. This plant produces powder detergent in spray dry process. The company is renamed as Kallol Chemicals Limited in later stage. It has signed technical collaboration agreement with the Lion Corporation, Japan to improve the quality of the detergent powder and to introduce new products. This factory is situated in the Tongi Industrial Area, the suburb of Dhaka.

Kallol Chemicals Limited - Soap

In 2013, Kallol acquired Aromatic & Camelia beauty soaps and laundry bar brands and the manufacturing facilities. The fully equipped machinery is from Ballestra S.P.A, Italy. It can produce beauty bar soap in mini, regular size and laundry bar soap. The factory is situated in the Tongi Industrial Area, the suburb of Dhaka. The company is open to discuss for contract manufacturing, technical collaboration partnership and Joint venture business potential for relaunching the soap brands.

Kawachi Detergent & Chemical Industries Limited

In the year 2012, Kallol acquired the Kawachi detergent factory with machinery from Ballestra S.P.A., Italy. Kawachi Detergent & Chemical Industries produces all types of premium detergent powders and liquid detergents such as dish wash, car wash, fabric softener and so on. Kallol has signed an agreement of technical collaboration to produce quality detergent powder and liquid products.

Kallol Industries Limited

In 1986, Kallol became the licensee of Fay International UK and started marketing different tissue and hygiene products in Bangladesh under the brand name Fay. Kallol Group of Companies was the first to introduce tissue products in Bangladesh. Today, the company has product ranges of Fay facial tissue, serviette tissues, toilet tissue, pocket tissue etc. Fay has been of the most sought-after brands of tissue product category for over 30 years.

JOINT VENTURE

Kallol Thai President Foods (BD) Ltd.

In 18 August 2010, Kallol Group of Companies and Thai President Food PLC, Saha Pathana Inter-Holding Public Co. Ltd., Saha Pathanapibul Public Co. Ltd. & I.C.C. International Public Co. Ltd of Thailand formed the joint venture company Kallol Thai President Foods (BD) Ltd to produce famous instant noodles brand MAMA. MAMA started its journey in 1972 in Thailand and since then has expanded to North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, and Oceania. In addition to the Thailand factories, MAMA has factories in Myanmar, Cambodia, Hungary and Bangladesh. In Bangladesh, the JV company started producing MAMA noodles in the newly acquired factory at Gazipur from 2012.

Jyothy Kallol Bangladesh Ltd.

On 17 May 2010, Kallol Group of Companies and Jyothy Laboratories of India formed a joint venture company Jyothy Kallol Bangladesh Ltd. This joint venture company produces fabric whitener brand Ujala. In future, potentially detergents, mosquito repellants and other products can be manufactured by this joint venture company.

Lion Kallol Limited

On 31st May, 2022 Lion Corporation Japan and Kallol Limited, a subsidiary of Kallol Group of Companies has partnered to form the Joint Venture company Lion Kallol Limited in Bangladesh. Lion Corporation, Japan was established in 1891. The company is driven by the purpose to “Make a difference in everyday lives by redesigning habits: ReDesign”.
The JV company aims to produce and market the household products such as home care and personal care products in Bangladesh with the development and production technology of Lion Corporation, Japan coupled with local know how of Kallol Group of Companies.
